Tern AI INC ("we", "us") operates the Tern AI INC Job Notification program: an optional SMS notification service for authorized Tern AI INC personnel who use our internal tools. If you choose to enroll, we send you a text message when a processing job you started finishes running.
The program is available only to personnel with authorized access to our internal tools, and only for your own mobile number. Do not enter a number belonging to anyone else; consent must come from the person who receives the messages.
Transactional service notifications only, of two kinds:
We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through this program, and we do not use it to contact you about anything else.
Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how many requests you make and how many stages each one runs. In normal use that is up to two job notifications per request, plus the one-time enrollment confirmation the first time you sign up, so up to three messages on a first request and up to two on later ones. Delivery is not guaranteed, so you may receive fewer. If you enroll again within about a month we do not repeat the confirmation.
There is no recurring or scheduled messaging. Every message follows something you did: enrolling, or starting a request you asked to be notified about.
We do not charge for this service. Message and data rates may apply under your own plan with your mobile carrier.
Enrollment is per-request and requires affirmative action: you enter your mobile number and select an unchecked consent checkbox each time you want to be notified. We never enroll you by default, and consent you give for one request does not carry over to another.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages. Your carrier will confirm the opt-out, and we will not send you further messages. Because enrollment is per-request, simply leaving the consent checkbox unselected also stops future messages.
If you have opted out and want to receive messages again, reply START to the same number, and enroll again the next time you start a job.

The program sends messages to North American (+1) mobile numbers. A number outside that range is refused when you enter it, rather than accepted and left silently unmessaged. Recipients are expected to be United States numbers: delivery and the STOP keyword are handled under US toll-free carrier rules, so a +1 number outside the United States may receive nothing.
Your mobile number is handled as described in our SMS Notification Privacy Policy. Your consent is an agreement between you and Tern AI INC only, and is never shared, sold, rented, or transferred to any third party.
We operate this program in line with applicable law and with mobile industry standards for application-to-person messaging, including the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices. We honor opt-out requests promptly and send only the transactional messages described above.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and enrolling after a change constitutes acceptance.
